Library Services’ Offered Inside
Free Internet and wi-fi Connection
The Stewart County Public Library offers Internet access and public use computers to patrons at no charge. Patrons are not required to have their library card to use the library computers. We also offer Wireless Internet for all patrons. If you use this option, turn on your device’s Wi-Fi, click “Public Library”, and then you should have an option to click “Continue” once Untangle pops up on your screen. After doing this, you are connected and have wireless access.
Word Processing
There are currently 12 public computers available to patrons that each have Microsoft Word for word processing. These are available to patrons at no charge. The cost of printing is $.20* per page for black and white single-sided; $.25* double-sided. We have a color option for those who connect using a wireless device, such as your phone. The cost for color is $.50* a page for single-sided; $.75 for double-sided. If you have email, you may also send it to us via email and we can print it once you pay.
Inter-library Loan
Through our Inter-library loan (ILL) program, library patrons not only have access to the Stewart County Public Library collection, they can access the resources of libraries across the state that participate in the program. This service is available to our patrons in good standing.
It can take several weeks for an Inter-library loan to arrive. Please allow at least one month for your request to be processed before the item is needed. Items must be at least one year old to qualify for Inter-library loan.
To receive materials through Inter-library loan, simply come to the Circulation Desk when you enter the building and put in your request or call us. If you are uncertain of the title of the desired book, ask a staff member for assistance.
Fax Transmission and Receipt
You may send a fax for only $1.00* per page and receive a fax for only $.25* per page. Our fax number is 931-232-3159.

For your convenience, copies can be made here. The cost is $.20* per page single-sided and $.25* per page double-sided. If you need assistance with the copier, please don't hesitate to ask a staff member.

People from all over the United States partner with Norma Loeffler, our genealogist, to research their family heritage.
BOOKS-TO-GO
If you are not able to get to our library due to illness or disability, and are in our county, you may sign up to be a part of this program to have books, audio books, puzzles, and DVD's brought to you.
Libby
Borrow ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and more from your local library for free! Libby is the newer library reading app by OverDrive, loved by millions of readers worldwide. You should find this app available for free in your device’s app store. Once you have it downloaded, you will use your library card barcode to log-in.
Services for Patrons with Special Needs
Inclusive Activity Time is located here at the library conference room and is geared for adults and children with special needs and their caregivers. However, all are welcome to join in on the fun. There will be puzzles, crafts, sensory items and more.
As a special service to library patrons who live with visual or hearing impairments the library offers information on state and federal reading assistance programs as well. For more information about these services, ask any of our Reference Information personnel.
The library is equipped with an image enlarger for the visually impaired, which allows the patron to see books, newspapers, magazines, or any other reading material in a larger format.
Library for Accessible Books & Media (LABM) is a free library program of braille, recorded and large print materials available to residents of Tennessee who are not able to use standard print materials due to a visual or physical disability. The Tennessee Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (TLBPH) cooperates with the National Library Service: Library of Congress (NLS) to administer this free library service.
