What is the Books-To-Go program?

The Stewart County Public Library provides free pick-up and delivery of library materials for Stewart County residents who are temporarily or permanently homebound due to lifelong illness, car accident or surgery to name a few examples, regardless of age.  Materials are selected according to the customer’s preferences listed on the application form.  The library materials are checked out, delivered and picked up by a library staff member.

We offer regular and large print books, audio books, DVDs, magazines, puzzles, crossword books, and music.

Deliveries take place between the months of September through the end of May.  They are done Monday through Friday when the weather permits with a phone call made to the number given before we come out to your home.  Each homebound patron receives once monthly pick-up and delivery of library materials.  Materials are checked out for a four-week period and may be renewed if necessary.
