What is the Books-To-Go program?
The Stewart County Public Library provides free pick-up and delivery of library materials for Stewart County residents who are temporarily or permanently home bound due to lifelong illness, car accident or surgery to name a few examples, regardless of age. Materials are selected according to the customer’s preferences listed on the application form. The library materials are checked out, delivered and picked up by a library staff member.
We offer regular and large print books, audio books, DVDs, and magazines.
Deliveries are done Monday through Friday when the weather permits with a phone call made to the number given before we come out to your home. Each home bound patron receives once monthly pick-up and delivery of library materials. Materials are checked out for a four-week period and may be renewed if necessary.
